The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has denied reports that comedian Sabinus is on its wanted list.
The agency dismissed a viral poster carrying the image of Emmanuel Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, describing it as fake and misleading.
According to the EFCC, the circulating poster was doctored to look like an official notice, falsely claiming the comedian was wanted for fraud.
The commission stamped the poster “FAKE NEWS” and warned those behind it to stop spreading false information.
The fake post had already gone viral across social media, raising concerns among fans.
Sabinus has not reacted publicly, while the EFCC urged Nigerians to always verify information from official sources before sharing.
